CAR STORAGE HERTFORDSHIRE

Our facilities are in rural North Bucks, reached from most of Hertfordshire on the M1 in around 45 minutes to an hour depending on where in the county you start.

The Hertfordshire position

Hertfordshire has an unusually high concentration of valuable cars and an unusually poor supply of anywhere sensible to put them. The county sits inside the commuter belt, which means high property values, and high property values mean that anyone offering indoor storage locally is pricing against the alternative uses of that building.

What tends to be available is self storage: a unit on a business park, sold by the square foot, unheated and shared. It works perfectly well for furniture. It is not storage for a car that will sit still for five months, because nothing in the specification addresses humidity, and humidity is the entire problem.

The other local option is a domestic garage, which is where most of these cars already are, and usually the reason the owner is reading this.

What we are

We are a family-run business operating four discreet rural sites in North Bucks, fifteen minutes apart, with capacity for over 150 vehicles. We do not publish the addresses and visits are strictly by prior appointment. For cars of this value, discretion is part of the service rather than an obstacle to it.

Cars are stored indoors and dehumidified, kept on trickle charge where appropriate, and checked regularly. Detailing, MOT and servicing can be arranged before you collect, so the car is ready to drive rather than ready to recommission.

Getting here

From the western side of the county, around Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted and St Albans, it is a straight run up the M1. From the east, around Hertford and Bishop's Stortford, most people come across on the A505 or up the A1 and across.

If you are weighing us against something closer, the question worth asking of the local option is a simple one: what does it do about damp? If the answer is nothing, the price difference is not really a price difference.
