OUR CAR STORAGE SECURITY
Auto Classica Storage is a long-term car storage facility for classic cars, supercars and luxury vehicles.
ALARM, CCTV, Fire & SECURITY
We take the security of vehicles in our care seriously at Auto Classica Storage. When storing your car in a professional facility you want to be able to satisfy yourself (and your insurance company) that they are serious about the security of your vehicle.
We invite any inspection by any insurance company to check our security set up and processes. However, we ask all our clients to ensure they are comfortable with their own insurance set-up whilst in our care.
We know there are several requirements that a good car insurance company would want to check off in any storage facility’s security system.
The system requirements set out below were put forward by an Aviva security assessor and then installed (and maintained) by our Gold Standard NSI installer & partner – Full contact details can be provided on request.
The security requirements below have been implemented by Auto Classica Storage as part of our duty of care for all our clients and their cars:
Secure entrance doors.
Padlocked using a five-lever or closed shackle, heavy duty type padlock.Entrance shutters that are (if electric) isolated using a key switch or (if manual) fitted with key operated shutter pins.
Intruder alarm.
Fitted and maintained by a National Security Inspectorate (NSI) NACOSS recognised or Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board Installer (SSAIB) to EN 50131 Standard Grade 3.
CCTV system.
Covering the frontage of the building and at least 2 internal cameras.
Outside Night Time Lighting.
Either continuous light to ensure good quality picture recording or similar lighting automatically triggered by movement detectors linked to the CCTV system.
Hard Disk Recorder and Vehicle Keys Kept Offsite
The hard disk recorder located either in a suitable locked metal box or located in another secure building. All vehicle keys should be kept off site in a locked safe.
Fire Detection & Monitoring
Our facility is protected by a professionally installed Grade P1 fire alarm system, designed to provide comprehensive automatic fire detection throughout the premises and the highest level of property protection.
The system incorporates multi-criteria smoke and heat detection, integral alarm sounders and manual call points, providing early detection and rapid warning in the event of fire.
The system is professionally monitored 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in conjunction with our monitored intruder alarm system, ensuring that an alarm activation is acted upon even when the premises are unoccupied.
The system is also subject to six-monthly professional inspection and maintenance by our security systems provider.
