Northamptonshire has more reason than most counties to care where a car spends the winter. Silverstone sits on its southern edge, Santa Pod on its eastern, and between them is one of the densest concentrations of classic, competition and performance cars anywhere in England.

Our facilities are around 25 minutes from Northampton, straight out on the A428.

Most cars that come to us from Northampton are not daily drivers. They are second, third or fourth cars: the one that comes out for events, the restoration that is finally finished, the car that has outgrown a domestic garage shared with bicycles and a lawnmower.

Home storage tends to fail in a specific way. A domestic garage is unheated, unventilated and damp for most of the British winter. Condensation forms on cold metal, sits in the sills and behind the arches, and does its work quietly over four or five months. The car comes out in April looking much as it went in, and the damage does not surface for another two years.

Our storage is indoor, dehumidified and monitored. That is the whole point of it.

What we are

We are a family-run business operating four discreet rural sites in North Bucks, fifteen minutes apart, with capacity for over 150 vehicles. We do not publish the addresses, and we do not accept visitors without an appointment. For cars of this value, that is a feature rather than an inconvenience.

Storage is long term by default, with flexible access arranged in advance. Cars are stored indoors, on trickle charge where appropriate, and checked regularly. Detailing, MOT and servicing can be arranged before collection, so a car that has sat for five months is ready to drive rather than ready to recommission.

The journey

Twenty-five minutes each way is a real consideration and we would rather address it than talk around it. In practice most owners visit their car three or four times a year, and the trip out is not the burden it first appears. Several of our Northampton clients combine a visit with a run down to Silverstone.
